Original artwork description:

This original oil painting on canvas depicts a field in 'Burleigh' (a small village near Minchinhampton overlooking the distant Cotswold valley of Stroud) and was created using thick oil paint with a palette knife. The use of sketches have enabled me to plan and expand the field of view allowing me incorporate more features using thick textured colour in order to express the 3d feel of the rugged landscape.
