Artwork description:

This is a large bur oak near Madison with a large number of burls. The cutting guide on the black linoleum plate was developed in part in Photoshop from a photo I took. The background colors on two plates are split fountains (graduated color blends) and some random roller applications. This is my most time-consuming work to date.

This artwork is hand printed from linoleum blocks (plates) on archival printmaking paper, using oil-based inks. The linoleum blocks are hand cut. Each separate color requires its own block. 4+ colors. Maximum image size: 9" x 24" Overall paper size: 11" x 30"

This edition is limited to 50 copies, and each print is numbered, titled and signed by the artist. Each print is considered an original, and can vary slightly from the others. 2019

My print(s) are carefully packaged between multiple sheets of cardboard, matboard and padding, insured to the value of the artwork, and shipped via USPS.

Francis Stanton retains all copyright to the artwork. The copyright does not transfer with the sale of this print.
