Painted on-site at the MN Landscape Arboretum in Chaska, MN. Features an iris flower in a deep burgundy red, with touches of orange-red and pink-red highlights and yellow-orange beards. The variegated orange and yellow background adds a lovely glow to the flower. The dripping and splattering effect is created with water-based casein paint, and glazed over with oil. The flower is painted with both brush and palette knife, and the petal shapes are enhanced by the texture of the paint. Painted in oil over casein on board. Framed in a 3" wide wood frame with a mahogany finish. May be purchased unframed by request.
