Bull snake and his shadow - 2

The scientific name of the Bull Snake is Pituophis catenifer sayi. Pituophis comes from the Greek for 'pine', which is pity, and the Greek word for 'snake', which is ophis . Catenifer is Latin for 'bearer of chains'. This refers to the pattern on the body of the snake. Sayi comes from Thomas Say, who was an American naturalist.

The print was processed by hand in a darkroom and finally processed with Selenium toning.

This toning ensures that the print will last for over 100 years.

The passepartout is made of acid-free natural fibre, the frame is handmade in Italy from cherry wood.

It is fitted with 75% anti-reflective glass.

Materials used:

Fiber based 150 gr. paper
