The human figure has always been the most challenging and interesting subject for me. With that said, I consider myself a painter of people rather than a portraitist. I seek to capture a universal mood or emotion versus the likeness of a single individual. I use props or poses that create an element of mystery, inviting the viewer to create their own narrative and take something more personal from the work. This painting is in a simple gallery frame, suitable for immediate hanging or easily replaced by a frame of the collector's choice.
