Original artwork description:

After going through a period of painting retro sweets including chewing gum the idea for this miniature canvas came to me. Bubble Gum only really looks cool when it's being blown up into a big bubble so I decided to depict a person doing just that.

This painting is slightly different for me as it includes a human figure, albeit in my usual simple pop style and only at the edge of the picture.

Elsewhere the lush bubble gum is depicted in irresistable bright pink against my trademark sky blue background, to create a striking and completely POP image that would brighten up any room in the house, or be an ideal gift for someone with a sweet tooth.

It is painted in acrylics and Posca paint pens on a stretched cotton canvas. It's signed and dated on the back frame, as depicted.

I've been inspired to create work like this by classic pop artists like Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Patrick Caulfield, and by modern day graphic designers and food packaging.
