Artwork description:

This is a hand carved, hand printed linocut print of the Scenic Railway and big wheel at the wonderful Dreamland park in Margate, England, overlooked by the brutalist tower block Arlington House and just a couple of miles from my studio.

This version is printed in five colours and was printed in reduction, whereby some of the lino is carved away between each colour layer. This means that no more can be printed, making these prints collectible.

This print, in a run of just 10, was shortlisted for the 2019 Royal Academy Summer Exhibition. I also have a run of 6 with slightly more black in the background, which I will list when this edition has all gone.

I use the finest quality materials including archival acid-free printmaking paper and bright glossy linseed ink and my editions are signed and numbered at the base of the print. As each of these prints is hand pressed there will be some very slight variation between them.

This print, given its size, will be mailed wrapped in tissue in a sturdy cardboard postal tube.

Please feel free to ask any questions, thanks for looking.

Materials used:

Linseed oil inks, Somerset Satin 250 gsm cotton rag
