Mixed media on Fabriano 100% cotton paper, rough, acid free 300g/m2. Dimensions of drawing; 32.5x50cm drawing area, 39x53 cm whole paper.
This house is situated in the old city of Nicosia, an area which has a history of beautiful architecture with very narrow streets made of pebble stones and unusual paving. This window has attracted my attention because it is decorated and surrounded by the old Cypriot stone which was once used by the skilled workers. On the top of the stone work and window there is a broken light unit, the front wall has almost deteriorated showing off many different layers of paint and plaster and the original stone works of the building, although it also seemed as if it had been renovated many times due to the newer more fashionable electricity boxes which are half standing on the other side.
