I love painting birds with the palette knife. My bird paintings are rather intimate portraits, featuring the face of the bird up close and personal, with the focus on their eyes. I love painting eagles and owls for their expressive eyes and imposing personalities.

This original painting is heavily textured as it has been painted exclusively with the palette knife. The knife strokes are done to give direction to the feathers, giving it a very 3D appearance.

The painting is flat and ships unframed. I will be very happy to offer framing suggestions if needed, just drop me a line.
