The track from Brothers Water in the Lake District is a beautiful walk leading to an old barn which nestles into the head of the valley.
This painting attempts to capture the feeling of walking up the track through seedheads and bracken with dry stone walls all around and at the head of the valley - the hills rising up with rocky crags on the top.
The painting is on a large canvas and the paint wraps around the edges of the canvas so no white is showing.
It is impressionistic in style with lots of large brush strokes and strong colour.
It is ready to hang.
