The Brooklyn Bridge is a symbol of New York and a magnificent engineering masterpiece. Construction of the bridge began in 1870 and was completed in 1883, and since then it has become one of the most recognizable architectural landmarks. The bridge connects the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn, running over the waters of the East River. It stretches for more than one and a half kilometers and provides a unique view of the urban landscape. One of the most exciting things about the Brooklyn Bridge is its history. Its construction was a true challenge for the engineers of that time. To cope with this scope and height, technologies and materials were used that were first used in this project. When the bridge was opened, it was the longest suspension bridge in the world.
