The flower is accented by a background of bright dahlias in red, burgundy, and pink, and green foliage. Painted from life, outdoors in natural light, in oil on board with both brush and palette knife. The shapes of the flower petals and the sunflower's center are enhanced by paint thickly applied with palette knife. Framed in a 3" wide wood frame with a mahogany colored finish. May be purchased unframed by request.
