It was a beautiful, warm October day on Viking Bay, when this was painted on site. It is the end of season and the tourists have gone home and the beach at Viking Bay is practically empty except for the few dog walkers that are now allowed.
In the middle distance is the small harbour with it's fishing boats by the jetty and the Old Lifeboat House.
The tide is on it's way out. I am always happier painting on beaches when this is so!
