Original artwork description:

This Mixed-Media piece is the second in my Brisbane series of collaged artworks inspired by my time and experiences travelling there with my wife in December 2018. I have used leaflets, maps, tickets and many other kinds of documents that I gathered and used during my time in Brisbane to create a collaged background on Canvas. In this piece you can see glimpses of some of the places, exhibitions and areas of the city that my wife and I visited. You can also see the time of year and other activities and events that were on during that time giving it some historical reference. I like the fact that these collaged items completely change the visual plane and also give background social information about the time and places we visited in Brisbane as I feel it adds another level of personal connection between myself, my wife, the place and the artwork. I have chosen to paint a sleeping Koala over the top of this collage for a few reasons. Firstly, it is one of the iconic animals synonymous with Australia. And secondly, during our time we visited a Koala and Kangaroo sanctuary and I was amazed by how these creatures can sleep so comfortably high up in the trees without any worries of falling out! Very impressive!
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
