Original artwork description:

Some days I start a painting with an idea in my mind, and the painting does not match it in any way (those go in the do-over pile). Some paintings have a mind of their own, and go a completely different, yet wonderful, way. And then sometimes (not as often) the painting goes exactly as I wish and almost matches my inner vision. This painting is one of those. It makes for a very happy day!

This is a scene that I saw on the way to meet a group to paint. Not even the place that we planning on painting...that is one of the wonderful things about living in Maine! There is breath-taking beauty around every corner!
