Original artwork description:

This painting is inspired by Brighton's beautiful Palace Pier. The painting tries to capture the expanse of sky, sea and pebble beach at this popular seaside town. There are collage elements included in the painting and the words 'shifting sands' are a tongue in cheek nod to the fact that this beach is pretty sand-free, consisting of a good many pebbles.
Acrylics, inks and collage have been used to create an impressionistic painting.
