Original artwork description:

This Acrylic Painting on Black Paper was done “en plein air“ from our hotel balcony on a bright sunny morning just after sunrise. The weather was so bright and hot when the sun had risen that I had to hide in the shade behind a post and peak out to see it! I really liked how the brightness of the sunrise turned the Great Swaysur Mountain into a silhouette, making the colours on the lake stand out even more. This is actually a small section of the view towards the town of Ida Saou which I drew and painted before, the town was also hidden in shade by the contrasting brightness. I enjoyed using a different process to make this image which was built up in strokes of paint representing the clouds and sky reflections on the gentle morning waves. I also like incorporating the raw materials used into pictures where possible and this was a perfect opportunity to utilise the original colour of the black paper to represent the silhouetted Great Swaysur Mountain and reflected shadows.
A note to International Buyers:
Shipping rates have increased in price all around the world due to Covid and other complications. Due to this I have had to increase the the cost of shipping my artworks in line with the Delivery Companies. I will always strive to find the cheapest possible option for the customer (usually my local POST OFFICE EMS Recorded Delivery, but unfortunately they don’t deliver worldwide at the moment) If the amount of shipping charged at purchase is less than the shipping company charges then I will refund the difference to the customer. This refund will be done after the picture has arrived safely and has been accepted.
Any import duties, taxes and charges that may be payable are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges, if applicable, will be the responsibility of the buyer. Please message me to check if this might affect your purchase.
