In this painting, I've melded wax and oil paints to sculpt vibrant, textural depths, evoking the raw intensity of emotions and the ethereal touch of the metaphysical. I chose fiery ambers and deep golds against striking contrasts of shadow to symbolize the eternal dance between light and darkness. Each stroke and smear is a deliberate expression of life's complexities and the transcendent moments that pierce through our everyday existence, inviting the viewer to reflect on deeper truths and explore their own inner landscapes. This artwork promises to bring a dynamic and thought-provoking energy into any space it inhabits.
This is an encaustic painting over a stretched canvas. Its size is 50 x 70 x 1.5 cm. Encaustic is a wax based paint composed of beeswax, damar resin and pigment or oil paint, which is kept molten on a heated palette. When It's applied to the surface with brushes then it's reheated again in order to fuse the paint, bringing the colors into a harmonious composition.
