Original artwork description:
Painted from above South Beach on a particularly hot, sunny day. I was attracted by the mosaic of colours formed by the the figures on the crowded beach. My aim was to capture my overall impression of the crowed beach rather then any detail.
It's 24x20'' oil on canvas.
I am a plein-air painter - I paint outside, directly in front of the subject. This, I think, gives my work a vibrancy and life sadly lacking in much of studio painting.
The painting is unframed but painted round the edge and D-rings and chord are attached so it is ready to hang.
