Original artwork description:

Under the vast, star-studded sky, Jo rode her trusted horse through the silent desert. The moonlight cast a silver glow on their path, illuminating the intricate patterns on the paint's bridle and the determination in Jo's eyes. The cool night air carried memories of the lessons her grandmother had taught her. "Courage," she would say, "is not found in the absence of fear, but in the strength to move forward despite it." Tonight Jo could feel her grandmother's presence, a guiding light in the darkness. With every step her horse took, she embraced the legacy of love and resilience her grandmother had left behind. Jo knew that no matter how dark the night, she carried within her the light of those who had come before, a beacon of hope and strength that would guide her through any challenge.
This 20 x 16 charcoal painting depicts a young woman atop her beloved paint horse. The horse is wearing a traditional Spanish 'Filigrana' bridle with a horsehair mosquero and mecate reins.

This drawing is created on a gessoed hardboard panel with 1 1/2" deep sides. The sides are finished in black so it can be displayed without a frame. It is protected with 6 layers of matte varnish so no glass is needed if you choose to frame it. A printed copy of the story will be included with the purchase.
