Original artwork description:

This painting represents a dear person who has dedicated her retirement years to improving her community. Among projects she has done with a group of other community members is the refurbishing of swinging bridges in rural Clay County, Kentucky, which has now been designated as the Land of Swinging Bridges. This bridge represents the bridge to hope that exists in the City of Hope. The boards may be weathered and the rope may be frayed, but with love and the attention of good hearts, the bridge will offer a path into community.

Materials used:

canvas, acrylic paint, satin varnish
