Russian Gulch is crossed by California State Highway 1, which passes over the gulch on the Frederick W. Panhorst Bridge.
This magnificent North Coast park combines the redwood-forested canyons with wind-swept headlands, sheltered inlets, and unspoiled beaches.
It is extravagantly rich in scenery, that's why I was so inspired to paint this scene. Notice the thick juicy paint texture - I used a palette knife to show the roughness of the cliffs.
Materials: Oil on Premium Oil Primed Centurion DLX Linen artist panel. Painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish. The painting is Unframed, and it requires a frame to hang. Images showing the artwork framed in home interiors are for presentation only. Frame is NOT included.
