Original artwork description:

An en-plein air acrylic painting of beach at Bretignolles. This was one of two sketches in Acrylic paints I produced on holiday. Wonderful early morning light with long shadows and interesting colours of the fence posts. I like to sketch in paint in a loose style which, I think, creates a freshness and bold use of colour. The iconic buildings in the Vendee coastal towns with their orange roof tiles and the dark green cypres trees are unmistakable to the area.
