Original artwork description:

Inspired by a trip to Breakish on Skye some years ago I remember a small cottage by the shore.
I remember thinking that it would make a nice picture some time. So here it is-probably not an exact representation but instead as I remember it that day.
I have used the canvas portrait style on this occasion and left the cottage down in the lower left hand corner.
I think this emphasizes the scale and permanence of the encroaching environment above and beyond as opposed to the vulnerability and temporary nature of the cottage.
This painting has recently been framed.
It is coated in two coats of protective varnish.
