Breaking Waves , waves rushing to the shore.
I can't swim very well and I don't like cold so my experience of water is usually at a distance, but I continue to experiment with the form and colours of the sea and often add my own wishful thinking in the brightness of the colours.

This is an original oil painting on prepared board.

Size: 6" x 6" (15 x 15 cm) and is unframed, but would fit into a readily available photo frame, as plain or as fancy as you like. Or prop it on a shelf unframed.

CARE OF OIL PAINTINGS:

The good news is that oil paintings are pretty robust.

Keep away from direct sunlight and steam. Dust occasionally and your painting will last for decades.

There's something quite satisfying about a small oil painting.
To me the square ones are particularly precious and I love to hold them in my hand.
They can brighten up a small corner, make beautiful gifts and they are a wonderful way of getting into collecting original art.
