Recently I have been overpainting older works and tried out new ways of expressing emotions and feelings. Here I started to play around with colors, enjoying the texture of it, the palette knife and was completely absorbed in what it felt like.
"Breaking In III" can be seen as just a landscape with waves coming in, but can also be understood as emotions and feelings breaking in, things can happen in our life and break in... life means constant change, we have to deal with it, it can be stormy, it can be wild, it can drown us, but it can also contain great beauty. In this painting the emphasis lies on the light - where there is light, there is hope!
20x20x2 cm on gallery wrapped canvas. Signed on the back. Ready to hang. Sides painted. White washed matte wooden floating frame.
