This series was painted during the first national lockdown in the summer of 2020.
As an intuitive painter I allowed myself to be drawn to a color palette that I had previously never used. I found the ultra bright colors so uplifting and exhilarating to work with.
The message of 'Breaking Free' is about letting go of inherited beliefs, prejudice and conventions. Being free to express yourself as is right for you.
We all carry baggage from our past. These painting are about letting go... Being Free.
