I take early morning walks along Alameda Creek in Fremont California, and an adjacent regional park, Quarry Lakes almost every day. I observe a lot of waterfowl and other wildlife in the early morning hours when they are most active. Egrets, Canada geese, ducks, herons, grebes, buffleheads, and other birds are part of the community. I love watching these pelicans tip upside-down in the water, scooping up fish into their pouches, tossing back their heads and swallowing the fish whole!
This is a limited edition print, the image was carved onto a linoleum block, then hand printed with black ink on archival cream-colored German Frankfurt paper, on my etching press. The image is 14 inches by 7.25 inches. The outer dimensions of the paper are 21 x 14 inches. Each print is signed by the artist, numbered and is an original piece of art.
Each one is unique; the printing varies slightly, which is inherent in hand pulled linocuts.
