This is my second submission to Artfinder's #ArtWorldSexism-the new campaign against discrimination against women in general and in particular in the field of art.

Many a women artists , confront fiery hostility from all quarters but like angels they have opened their wings, courageously picked up that brush and painted ! It has been a great struggle! They were expected to paint "feminine" subjects! They always had invisible rules written down for every action.

A woman artist is never taken seriously, she is mostly considered a hobbyist! Men judge her art and many a times they do not realize that the world is viewed differently by women. Their perspective is so very different from that of men. She is new on this platform compared to the hundreds of years of dominance in art history by men artists . Coming out of the confines of her home only a few decades ago, now she is realizing her potential in full against all odds. She must continue to spread her wings and embrace freedom and a fairer world will certainly be hers soon! After all women's rights are human rights! This is the idea which I have depicted in my artwork on paper.
