Original artwork description:

This is a painting showing a Vulcan B2 at the end of the sortie, with the brake parachute streamed. The chute was not streamed at the end of every sortie but was part of the regular practice to test the system and keep the pilots in practice.

The secondary image shows the painting double mounted and in a simple dark grey frame. It is shown with an image of a Vulcan just about to start the take off run, with engines at full power. That painting is also available on this site.
