Painted on-site at the MN Landscape Arboretum in Chaska, MN. Features an iris flower of the variety named "Bragadoccio", with a second flower peeking out below and to the right. This variety has top petals of a cream color and bottom petals in magenta red with brilliant orange beards. The pine green and bright grass green background has running and dripping effects created with water-based casein paint, and glazed over with oil. The flowers are painted with both brush and palette knife, and the shapes of the petals are enhanced by the texture of the paint.
