Rabbits are a pleasure to paint, and I particularly like the Jersey Woolly Rabbits because they have a mixture of short and longer hair, which is silky and attractive to paint.
And what better than painting a young boy with his pet?
Oil paint is perfect for creation the illusion of fur, and having a picture with two portraits - human AND animal - gives the opportunity of painting skin and fur.
Yet although their exteriors are so different, the eyes are always the same, each telling their own story.
