This is a watercolor strip collage.
I spent a lot of time in wetlands in Noyack, Long Island searching for waterbirds. Wetlands are never still; gentle breezes keep the water and the reeds in constant motion. In this painting I was trying to show what I saw on a VERY windy day; everything was moving vigorously.
