Original artwork description:

"Bottles & Orange" is as simple a title as the characters on stage. It is the composition that interests me. Connecting the two bottles and placing them on the left weighs the left side of the canvas. Adding a disconnected orange to the foreground and to the right, balances the composition. The use of blues and orange pigments unifies the overall painting into a visually pleasing complete piece of artwork.
After painting bottles as stand alone subjects, it was time to add a slice of life to the artwork's subject matter.
I created this piece as an exercise in color, texture and composition. It was important to me to render the smooth clear glass with a textured opaque orange for contrast. The final outcome is as enjoyable to look at as it was to paint.
