The water mill lies hidden in Coombe Gill in the Borrowdale Valley near Derwentwater in the Lake District UK and its on private land. It is an iconic photographic location enjoyed by thousands of photographers over the years, until recently when the land owner closed it off to public access.
It is believed that the original building dates back to the 17th Century and could have been used as a cottage. It has been used by landowners in the 19th Century as a Hydro Electric Mill to supply local farms.
