Olchon Valley, Herefordshire, England. November 2013.

A field, some trees, and a mountain.  Typical "Borderland" landscape.  I took this photograph from the foot of Black Hill in the Olchon Valley.  The Welsh border runs along the ridge of The Black Mountains that you can see in the distance.

I make my prints using  a cotton-based watercolour paper that emphasises the subtle colours and textures of the grasses, bark and other natural elements in the scene.  The frame is a glassless wooden "floatframe". There is a small space around the mounted print which makes the print appear to "float" within the frame.
