Artwork description:
Bolton Abbey is set on the banks of the River Wharfe in North Yorkshire, England. This print shows the Priory Church and the ruins of the 12th Century Augustinian Monastery.
It's an original reduction linocut print, using just one block of lino and a process of carving away the lino between each layer of colour to produce the final image.
It is a limited variable print from an edition of just 9 prints using Zerkall printing paper, 145gsm and Lawrence oil relief printing inks. The image size is 30.5cm x 40.5cm and the paper size is approx 38cm x 48cm which gives a generous margin to allow for framing.
My linocuts are handmade from start to finish - hand carved, inked and handprinted, and as such they will have small variations between prints - making each print into a unique artwork. All of my prints are flat packed if delivered within the UK, and will be sent packaged in tissue and a tube if delivered outside of the UK.
