Original artwork description:

Bog oak #934
Describing this subfossil wood in words is a challenge. Insiders are informed about its value, whoever wants to dig deeper into it by googling it. The small filigree sculpture is carved from oak wood that is thousands of years old and can be screwed onto the curved stainless steel supplied. The interpretation of the figure is at home in the mystical environment and is completely up to the beholder. The sculpture is made of one piece, the traces of the manual work of a knife are visible in the head area, the part underneath is finely ground. The spike protruding from the head is treated with chrome paint and harmonises with the base. A signed certificate is included, it replaces the carved signature that would only disturb the small sculpture. The copy of a dendrological report on bog oak from the area from which this bog oak sculpture also comes is also part of it. It goes back to the late Neolithic. The weight without the metal base is only 38 grams, the height is 29 cm, with the base 31 cm and 214 grams.
