"Boccherini"
This figurative sculpture has been created from one whole blue 12" vinyl music record (Boccherini - Cello Concerto in Bb Major"), and mounted upon a 10 x 15 x 2cm clear acrylic block. The blue perspex rod has been custom formed. The liquid-like figure has been created using various heat sources. Fine art practice contrasts with modern materials.
Each figurative, contemporary sculpture from the "REmuse" series is sculpted from one whole 7" or 12" vinyl record, with nothing added and nothing removed from the original material - function becomes form.
