this picturesque place is located on the shores of lake Svityaz, the region is called Volyn and is located on. territory of western Ukraine near the border with Poland
these original flat-bottomed wooden boats are very characteristic of this area, and this design has been known here for many hundreds of years. no one knows why and when the boats began to be painted in different bright colors, perhaps this is so that the fishermen would recognize each other from afar
