This painting is a tribute to the classic blue and white ceramics that often surround us and are somewhat taken for granted; they are nevertheless sometimes beautiful with their intricate patterns and varying shades of blue. It was painted from life with oil paint and palette knives and so has a slightly raised, textured surface. It is on a wooden panel and so would look at its best framed
