The painting is inspired from a pose I saw, a mood I felt, the size and shape of the nice thick paper and my eyes landed on the blue paint on my palate …. That’s often how I work…. Here I am using a loose approach to applying the colour, more expressive, abstract … a wash of blue water. The simpler result can be quite refreshing. The figure always make a good subject. The lines are fluid, the challenge is to put movement into the painting .

The close up pictures are to get a feel for the texture and brush strokes of the painting. Then there’s the work in progress.
