Original artwork description:

This series of paintings is developed from a walk around the Bluebells that spring up in Rannerdale near Crummock Water in April time. This area of the English Lake District in Cumbria is often overlooked but no less beautiful. Here I have sought to capture the warmth of the spring with an underlying cadmium orange that shines through the impasto paint layered on top.

This painting is complete with a beautifully handmade and hand finished double frame - which leads the eye right into the work. Signed by me on the front and reverse this painting is ready to hang.

Materials used:

Oil on canvas board
