Original artwork description:

Blue Sea Angels Ride Again is a 40x40x1.5 inches large blue seascape painting with three Queen Angel Fish under the sea. The style is fairly realistic and is very much inspired by former Caribbean holidays. The water is clear and blue and turquoise on the surface of the waves where the light sparkles though it onto the sandy bottom of the sea. Light patterns flicker across the fish and the small stand of pink coral behind them. The water is darker blue where it is deepest. Tropical fish rarely swim in formation like this but it would be nice if they did. Like all the fish I paint, they are intent on getting somewhere and have lots of space to travel in. I paint these scenes as they allow the viewer a sense of space and remind us of holidays and things to dream of once the virus situation is over. There is something about a blue sea that appeals to everyone I think. Painted on deep edge canvas, white edges, no frame needed, ready to hang.

Materials used:

oil on canvas
