DYNAMIC AND INTRIGUING
I like to work on a series of paintings at the same time and begin with no specific endpoint in mind which allows each painting to develop its own unique look and history. Working on this painting I used an unstretched canvas which then gives me the opportunity to present the work to you rolled in a tube ready for stretching and framing.
However, I do offer the service of providing custom framing.
I offer custom framing and will be happy to stretch and frame. Pricing will be provided. Please contact me directly to share color preferences
As layers build, I cover and also reveal previous colours and this keeps a sense of surprise and spontaneity in the finished painting.
In the beginning, I paint intuitively, deciding on a color scheme and adjusting the composition, and choosing bold and contrasting colors. At some point there will be a moment where the painting starts to tell me what to do next and subliminally makes suggestions and I have to ‘catch’ the clues it’s giving me.
It is essential to balance the composition.

Blue represents both the sky and the sea and is associated with open spaces, freedom, intuition, imagination, expansiveness, inspiration, and sensitivity. Blue also represents meanings of depth, trust, loyalty, sincerity, wisdom, confidence, stability, faith, heaven, and intelligence.
