This painting emulates a woman who is a victim of a childhood no one should go through. The lack of a mouth is because it’s impossible for her as an adult to open her soul without invoking a fear so forceful and all encompassing it’s hard to imagine. Her beauty tainted in forever blue her kindness betrayed before it had a chance. Hence the name portrait of a tragic tale. I’m a London-based artist, and my work often reflects vivid and surreal imagery inspired by my unique experience with REM intrusion—a condition where dream-like visions can appear while I’m awake. My paintings explore the boundary between waking reality and the dream world, using layered compositions to create a sense of depth and movement. I paint with high-quality materials and put a lot of thought into texture and detail. My process is a mix of intuitive brushwork and deliberate layering, aiming to create pieces that are rich in emotion and invite you to see something new each time you look at them.
