This is one of my favorite landscape paintings, painted on unprimed rabbit-skin glue coated canvas which pokes out everywhere with a delightful natural color. I hope you enjoy the painterly abstraction that I achieved when trying to conjure Matisse's simple seaside sketches in my mind of the south of France
