Dura-Lar is billed as "the acetate alternative" -- what this means is that it is a sealed, plastic paper surface designed specifically for accepting paint and it is archival. It also means that the paint (in this case acrylic) dries on the surface and is highly manipulative. I've brushed, poured, breed, crippled and combed this work to achieve the high-chroma and complex patterns that suit my vision. This work is matted, but not framed, but wrapped in a protective envelope. It can be framed underclass, but does not really require that added layer of protection.
