Original artwork description:

New: this is a large scale (120x60cm) abstract landscape on a deep edged canvas. Abstract expressionist artworks on 100% cotton canvas stretched over a deep wooden frame. No extra framing is required and the painting is ready to hang as soon as you unpack it.
I used a palette of blues, greens, browns and orange with iridescents.
Inspiration:

As a little girl, my playground was the fields, woods and country lanes around our house. My friends and I would ride our bikes all over the place. These were times when you were allowed to play out as a kid! On a sunny day, off you went in the morning and you would just go back home when you were hungry, or as your mum would say, ‘before it gets dark’. Simpler times.

In our stomping ground - the hills, the woods and the lanes of the Yorkshire dales, there was a rumour that somewhere down in a valley there was a ‘Blue Lagoon’. Oh yes and we believed. How we tried to find this ‘Blue lagoon. We spent hours, days, and summers in pursuit of this mystery bluest of blue lagoons. We never did find it.

The work is very heavily textured and when hung has real 3d effect. Quite a weighty piece too.
