This blue jay was sitting in my pear tree near the bird feeder. His feathers were fluffed against the cold wind as he took a break from eating. I know blue jays can be noisy and pushy eating companions, but I enjoy seeing the variety their royal blue feathers bring against a snowy background.
This framed watercolor is based on my own photograph that was taken on a winter day on my Kentucky farm. It is ready to hang and enjoy.
